About Us

Tilenga safari lodge is a newly built mid -range accommodation found 2km away from Tangi gate on the main Karuma-Pakwach Road, on the northern Boundaries of Murchison falls national park Uganda region.

Our Lodge

Tilenga Safari Lodge features 13 elegant guest cottages with pleasant facilities and 2 luxury tents designed to offer sophisticated tranquility. The River Nile and the park are the main focus from an architect’s perspective and so all the cottages and luxury tents have balconies and terraces facing the magnificent sweeping views. Having one’s breath taken away by these delightful views is a guarantee here at Tilenga Safari Lodge.

The Location

Tilenga Safari Lodge is set on the northern park boundaries of Murchison Falls National Park.
It is located in one of the most breathtaking parts of Uganda just 1.7km away from Tangi gate on the main Karuma-Pakwach road.
One has to watch out for its signpost a few kilometers before the Pakwach Bridge to not miss the magnificence of a place that looks out on the majestic Albert Nile.

Our Activities

Fishing

The Nile below Murchison Falls provides exciting challenges to anglers including the chance to land a massive Nile Perch (the record is 108kg). Fishing is restricted to designated sites and places are limited so prior booking is recommended.

Game Drive

Most visitors come to Murchison Falls to go on safari. The park provides home for 76 mammal species, including lion, leopard, elephant, Rothschild’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, hartebeest. Buligi area is the park’s best game viewing spot.

Bird Life

The bird life is simply spectacular. Due to the diversity in habitats, the tick list reaches over 450 species with the shoebill stork remaining a favorite for many.

Hiking & Nature Walks

The vast landscapes and varied scenery of Murchison Falls National Park can be explored on foot. Trails through Kaniyo Pabidi and Rabongo Forests provide sightings of many primates and birds, while walks around the Nile-Lake Albert Delta, offer possible sightings of the Shoebill.
