Nestled on the banks of the Victoria Nile, Nile Front Cottages offers a unique luxury getaway in pristine wooden cabins overlooking the Nile. Wake up to the sounds of chirping birds and indulge in nature in our leafy compound or enjoy the breeze off the lake from the beautiful stone terrace overlooking the Nile.

Our guests can enjoy a beautiful and quiet escape yet remain close to key tourist sites and top hangouts & eateries within Jinja town, Uganda’s first industrial town and home to the source of the Nile. The old Ferry Port, the Jinja Golf &Tennis Club, and the Source of the Nile are all within walking distance from our location. While staying with us look out for our pop-up Spin Cycling classes or our open-air cinema experience that are free for guests.

Our Story

Nile Front cottages is one of a few boutique hotels in Jinja owned by locals. The owners Imran, Sophie and Shadia’s love for travelling brought them together to work on a project where they would each recreate their ideal luxury getaway on a single piece of land.

With varying tastes and experiences, each of the cottages was designed and furnished to reflect the owners’ individual unique styles. The cottages are positioned brilliantly across the property to maximize privacy and lake views. We want our guests to enjoy the comforts similar to the best places we have been to but at reasonably lower budget and Nile Front Cottages offers exactly that!
