Lake Nyamirima Cottages derives its name from Lake Nyamirima Crater Lake, where it lies. The lake was called Nyamirima, meaning; “Mother of Darkness” because of her dark water view seen from top of the cliff. The darkness is due to the forest cover. The forest also provides shelter to a variety of monkeys and birds.
