Who we are
Emmanuel Ssewankambo has always been keen to stimulating the development of the local economy of Kalisizo, a semi-rural area where he was born and grew. In 2007, he facilitated a Participatory Appraisal of Competitive Advantage (PACA) exercise in the area. One of the business opportunities that was identified was the establishment of accommodation and recreation facilities that would have forward and backward linkages with other community business opportunities.
Emmanuel then transformed a banana plantation he had bought into the site for Nabisere Hotel named after her mother who has been instrumental in his life. Nabisere Hotel Ltd was then constructed and started operations in 2009. It now boasts an open garden that hosts public events, a bar and restaurant, a block with 16 rooms, a conference hall, and sauna and steam bath facilities. In line with the original objective of stimulating the development of the local economy, the hotel purchases the inputs from the local farmers and has identified several local value chains that are used for community tourism. Join us in our bid to contribute to the development of our people, community, and nation.
